Course Description
The Skills for Parenting FACS Flex focuses on parenting and the importance in nurturing children to meet their basic physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the child. Topics covered include personal, family, cultural, and societal practices that impact parenting; alternatives to biological parenthood; beginning the parenting process; nurturing practices; discipline practices; communication strategies; and community resources and services available for families.
